This is your Kin on Track News Flash coming to you from Zone D President’s Round Table.

In Old Business, we’d like to congratulate the following 3 clubs on celebrating their charter Anniversaries on October 1: the Clinton and District Kinette Club for 71 years, the Meaford Kinette Club for 68 years, and the Hensall and District Kinette Club for 67 years.

For the Good of Kin, an upcoming Anniversary prior to our next Kin on Track News Flash is the Listowel Kinette Club who celebrate their 74th anniversary on October 20.

Upcoming Events:

• October 9th is the Goderich Kinette Club’s free skate
• October 13th is The Port Dover Kinsmen Club’s Friday the 13th
• October 14th is The Life Night for Harry Fry & the Stratford Kinsmen Clubs bottle drive
• October 14th and 15th is the Fonthill and District Kinsmen Clubs Craft Show. Celebrating 15 years, in just 27 days these guys had their 88 vendor booths sold. Great work guys.
• October 21st is the Fort Erie Kinette Clubs Trivia Night & the Elgin-Thomas Kinette Club’s cornhole tournament

In Other News:

We encourage you to put together your zone team to participate in our Game of Zones. Details can be found pinned to the top of the District 1 Facebook page.

Additionally, Kin Canada Bursary Applications opened for students on October 1 for the 2024-2025 school year and are open until February 1, 2024. Further information can be found under the bursaries tab at kincanada.ca

November 15th is fast approaching as is the deadline for many items including:

• Criminal Record Check results for 2023/24 Club Presidents, Club Treasurers and District Executive Members
• Proof of Clubs’ 2022/23 Annual Incorporation Filing
• The Club’s Annual Insurance Reporting
• And, the last day for clubs to opt into additional Accident Benefit insurance coverage for non-member volunteers

Please note the Annual Declaration sign off has been revisited and information has been sent previously to members and clubs.

Lastly, your District Council and the Windsor family of Kin have been busy putting the final touches on what looks to be a fantastic FLC 2023. As the Vikings say, Wisdom is welcome wherever it comes. AD Forms and Registration Forms are available on the District1 website at district1kin.ca
