FLC 2024 Financial Update
Hello Clubs. As discussed at Spring Convention, you will soon be recieving your District Dues Bill. Due to an error with last years invoices, you will see 2 additional lines. One for the Kin on Track $100 Convention Assesment and another for the Kin on Track $5 House Rules Assesment. These were missed on your 2023-2024 District Dues invoice, and have to be collected, as the Convention Assesment is paid to the host club, to rebate to each club that attends Convention, $50 for FLC and $50 for Spring. If you have any questions, please let me know, but watch for your 2024-2025 Dues invoice, which will be emailed out to each club BEFORE the end of May. Thank you

As we gear up for FLC, there are still 32 clubs who have not paid District Dues. A few years back, billings went electronic and have been sent by email. Unfortunately, not every club has a club email, and as executives change, sometimes the dues bill goes to a former member, or junk mail and doesn't get seen. If your club hasn't paid your dues yet, please reach out to me and I'll send it to you as soon as I can! I've sent the list to DG's so they can help me track you all down. This will be an interesting year, and our governors are eager to mingle and help every club grow, so lets get these dues paid, so we have the funds to operate! Thank you for your help, and I look forward to seeing everyone at FLC!
Hello District 1!! Hope the holidays were enjoyable and relaxing!

All you ever wanted to know about Budget Surplus!
At Spring Convention 2019, we heard many people confess confusion about the surplus, especially the operating surplus...So we whipped this up for you to have a read!
Happy holidays District 1!
As this year’s Treasurer, I am happy to announce that we’ve collected district dues from all but five clubs. Thank you to all the clubs who have made payment to date.
Just a reminder that, as of October 31st, all clubs were required to provide the District, through their Deputy Governor, with a reviewed financial statement for the 2016-2017 year and the approved budget for 2017-2018. If your club has not done this yet, please be sure to submit the documents as soon as possible. This year we will begin following up with clubs who haven’t submitted the past few years.
I’m sure everyone has noted the new changes to how national dues are calculated. If your club has any questions about this new process please feel free to reach out to me.
I’m sure that at this point in the year, our members and clubs are extremely busy with the multitude of things that we do for our communities, around the holiday season. Please take a few moments to reflect on what you’re doing and how important that is to your community and how much better off they are because of what Kin provides.
From my family to yours, we wish you a joyous holiday season! See you in 2018!
Yours in Kin,
Wendy Rolfe
District Treasurer/Coordinator

SUCCESSFUL KIN SEMINAR
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who took the time to take advantage of the incredible learning opportunity the District One Successful Kin Seminar offered. It was a great day of growing, learning, making friends and having fun.

DUES UPDATE:
Please note the following from the National Policies and Procedures:
• National Policy 3.04 Appointment, Certification and Registration of Accredited Delegates,
c) Certification process
(xii) The Club must be In Good Standing as of thirty-five (35) days prior to the date of submission; otherwise the Club shall forfeit its votes at the District/Zone convention or conference to which the Form applies.
With this in mind, and the deadline for submission of your Accredited Delegate form being October 24th, dues MUST BE REMITTED NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 27th .. for you to be in good standing and able to vote at Fall Leadership Conference. We have given a 7 day grace period since this clause is fairly unknown.
We have 68% of our clubs currently in good standing with dues having been remitted. If you are one of the dangling clubs, please ensure that you pay your invoice asap.
If you are missing your invoice, drop me a line and I’ll make sure that I get one out to you right away.
SUBMISSIONS DUE
The next point of reporting for your clubs is to have your 2014-15 financial reports reviewed by an independent Kin member, and forward a copy of those reviewed financials and as well, your clubs' proposed budget for 2015-16 to both your Deputy Governor and myself, by October 31st. I look forward to receiving these documents from you all.
If at any time you have questions or concerns of a financial matter, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Enjoy the remainder of the summer .....
Thank you to our sponsors!
