This is your Kin on Track News Flash coming to you from the Tilbury & District, Service Teams Golf Tournament for Cystic Fibrosis.

In Old Business, we’d like to congratulate the following Clubs who’ve celebrated their Charter Anniversaries since our last Kin on Track News Flash: the Goderich Kinsmen Club celebrated 77 years, and the St.Marys Kinsmen Club celebrated 67 years on May 15th; on May 16th, the Fonthill & District Kinsmen Club celebrated 73 years, and the Stratford Kinsmen Club celebrated 79 years.

Upcoming Anniversaries coming up prior to our next Kin on Track News Flash include the following clubs: May 26 - the Tillsonburg Kinette Club, 34 years; May 28 - the Teeswater and District Kinsmen Club, 37 years; May 29 – the Meaford Kinsmen Club, 72 years; May 30 – the Drayton Kinsmen Club, 56 years; and, June 15 – the Fort Erie Kinsmen Club, 82 years.

This year District 1 pledged 150 units to Canadian Blood Services. Friends and family are encouraged to join as part of our partners for life program. You only need to give the ID number once for all future donations to be counted. ID number is KINC110223. Remember, it’s in you to give.

Have an event coming up, where you will be serving alcohol? Don’t forget about District 1’s Cystic Fibrosis fundraising beer. Described as an outstanding lager, $10 from every case is donated to Cystic Fibrosis research. Contact your District 1 service team for details.

Upcoming Events:

• Tomorrow, May 26th, step towards support and celebrate 20 years of Cystic Fibrosis support by joining a CF walk near you.
• May 28th, the Hensall and District Kinette Club is collecting feminine hygiene products at the Hensall Independent for distribution to the local food bank and shelter.
• May 30th - June 2nd is the Cambridge/Preston Kin Carnival hosted by the Cambridge (Preston) Kin Club, and The Chatham Kinsmen Fair hosted by the Chatham Kinsmen Club.
• May 31st is Wings, Fries, Poutine and Live Music hosted by the Drayton Kinsmen Club.
• June 2nd, the sun is out, and you should be too ... so we’re having a party, and the District is inviting you. Everyone’s coming, you should be there! Bring your family and a potluck dish to share.

• June 6th, is the Friday Night Movie Night in the Park hosted by the Hensall and District Kinettes
• June 7th is Wasaga Beach Kinette Clubs Yardsale for Cystic Fibrosis.
• June 8th is the Ridgeway Crystal Beach Kin Club’s Golf Tournament.
• June 14th is the Dungannon Demolition Derby assisted by the Lucknow Kinsmen Club.
• June 15th is a Fish Fry hosted by the Delhi Kin Club, the Community Tailgate Market hosted by the Guelph Kinette Club, and the Underground Music Weekend hosted by the Aylmer Kinsmen Club.
• June 21st is Taps and Trivia hosted by the Listowel Kinsmen Club.
• June 22nd is the Ridgeway Crystal Beach, Beach Volleyball Tournament.

From your Service Directors ...

Has your Club hosted an event raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis Research? Apply now for the Bill Skelly Award.

Similarly, if your Club has a member who has gone above and beyond for Cystic Fibrosis, apply for the Ian F. McClure Award.

Deadline for both awards is June 30th and information can be obtained on iKin, or by contacting your Service Directors Mike or Frank.
