Zone J Highlight

Being part of Kin is a like having a whole other family.
In Kin, when you are in need; your Kin family is always there to help.
We saw this in our Zone J community recently.
Cheryl McTeer is currently battling cancer for the second time. Our Hanover Kinsmen partnered with the McTeer family and put on a fundraiser for Cheryl and her children to help with the costs associated with chemo (not working, traveling etc.).
This fundraiser was held at the end of September and brought many people out to show their support.
We had Kin from all over District 1 come and support.
This day consisted of a live band, drinks, food stories and a silent auction.
At the end of the day; the Hanover Kinsmen raised $17000 for the McTeers!!

The Walkerton Kinettes also raised some funds for the McTeers.
The proceeds from their Home Shopping Day that was held recently will be donated to Cheryl and her children. (Final numbers were not ready at the time of posting).

When all is said and done; it is not about the money but the support that our Kin family has for one another!
This goes to show what a wonderful family we have within our Kin Organization!
