The 2025 Aylmer Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade.
Saturday November 22nd,
The Kinsmen Club of Aylmer have been hosting the Community’s Santa Claus Parade for 80 years. We missed one year for COVID 19 and following year we hosted a stationary parade, but other than that, Santa has always made the trip down Main Street on the 4th Saturday of November.
No single event brings out more people of all ages and backgrounds in the town of Aylmer than the Santa Claus Parade. From observers along the 2 km parade route to kids and adults participating in the parade with a decorated entry or marching, everyone seems to attend to welcome in the holiday season.
All things Christmas in Aylmer are aligned to the Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade. It is the start of the selling season for our merchants, the town puts up Christmas decorations on the street lights and in the parks and the food bank and toy drives kick into high gear. The food collected during our parade is the largest annual contribution. Home owners always decorate their properties in time for our parade.
The parade is funded by our club’s ongoing fund raising efforts and from generous donations from merchants, large and small businesses and services, local professionals and individuals and families. It takes a lot of money to fund the parade with marching bands and attractions. It also takes hundreds of volunteer hours by our club members in the months and days leading up to the parade and parade day.
Our annual Canada Day Fireworks draws thousands of people too, but nothing involves our entire community the way our Santa Claus Parade does.
