Home ~ District Council Profiles ~ Kym Ellis
I’m Kym Ellis, a proud Kinette with the Kin Club of Hamilton. At 60, I wear many hats with pride — wife, mom of 4, and Nana of 8 amazing grandchildren (ages 11 to 19).
For more than 30 years I worked as a Building Superintendent/Property Manager/Administrator, and I’m also a two-time stroke survivor who lives each day with gratitude and purpose.
Service has been in my heart since my teens. I joined Scouts Canada at 18 as a Rover, later serving as a Scouter for over 35 years. Today, my full devotion is with Kin Canada, where I’ve been proudly serving for 7 years.
I absolutely LOVE being a Kinette. 💖 The friendships, fellowship, growth, support, and love of service are everything to me. Making a difference in people’s lives and communities gives me purpose, pride, and joy.
This year, I am beyond thrilled to serve as Deputy Governor for Zone A (for the second time!), and to be part of the Kin Driven 106 Convoy for the 2025/2026 season.
When I’m not serving, you can find me camping, playing darts, or enjoying a good board game with family and friends.
Kin isn’t just an organization to me — it’s family, and I’m blessed every day to be part of it. ❤️
