About Me :
John Barrie Collingwood Kinsmen
Charter active member and leader within the Collingwood & District Kinsmen Club,
John is currently Zone C Deputy Governor for District One Kin alongside Danielle Allen who represent the Kinettes from Zone C.
John Barrie has served as President/ Past President and is currently holding the President position again for Collingwood & District Kinsmen Club
John helped support the revival and growth of the Kinsmen presence in Collingwood after the organization returned to the community in 2019 as a Charter Member for the club
In a 2019 interview, he explained that he had previously been a Kinsman in Nova Scotia at the age of 19 and joined the effort to rebuild the club after learning about the initiative in the community to re-invent the Collingwood Club. Giving back is very important to John and is always there to give a helping hand to ones in need

About the Collingwood & District Kinsmen Club
Some of the club's activities include:
• Community fundraising and charitable projects.
• Support for local causes and non-profit organizations
• Roadside cleanups and community service initiatives
• Helping with Poppy Drives and Salvation Army Kettle Drives
• Fellowship and recruitment of volunteers interested in community involvement.
• The club describes itself as a small but active group focused on improving the Collingwood area through volunteer service and fundraising.

John Barrie is best known as a Community volunteer leader, fundraiser, and community builder whose efforts have focused on strengthening community engagement, supporting local charities, and helping grow the impact of the Collingwood & District Kinsmen Club throughout the South Georgian Bay region.
