Way back in the last century, Brenda was born in South Porcupine ON (yes, it exists). She was the second daughter and eventually became the misunderstood "middle child" when her brother arrived a couple of years later.
Growing up she lived in South Porcupine, Mattheson, Goderich, Kincardine, Mt. Forest and Wallaceburg; children of OPP officers never stayed put for long in those days. Her education was as varied as her addresses attending five schools in her eight years of public school, but she managed to stay put for all of high school. Higher education found her head off to the big city of Toronto, where she received the first of her three College diplomas. The big city just wasn't her, and back to the comforts of small town Ontario put her in Palmerston.
She married her one and only thirty years ago and they are the proud parents of four adult children (two boys & two girls) and now even prouder of the three grandchildren. (The slide show will start shortly and only lasts about 3 hours right now!) Editor's note: I believe it's now up to four at time of publication!
Her Kin career started in 1985 as a Formation Member of the Palmerston & District Kinettes. Taking on every executive position in her club was a natural outcome as she became hooked on Kin very quickly. Doing Deputy Governor four terms, and two terms on District Executive hasn't dimmed her enthusiasm for our Association. What keeps her coming back ... her extended Kin Family! You guys and gals are the BEST!!
Outside of her two families, Brenda found time to work with developmentally challenged students and adults for over 35 years. Is there any wonder she is the way she is????
