Barry was born and raised on the family farm in Greenock Township. When his older brother took it over he moved with his parents and one other brother up the road. Barry is the youngest of seven children. (And you can tell with his laid back attitude!!) Barry has worked for Sprucedale Agromart (Hanover) for about 25 years,(Fertilizer Company), where he is a laborer (truck driver, head of Health and Safety, head mechanic, social committee….. you get the idea!!).

Barry met his wife Cheryl in Feb. 1993 when they were both learning how to line dance!! They first just hung out with friends and didn’t have their first date until April 30, 1994. They became engaged in July of that same year and were married in August of 1995. They have three active children, Walker – 11 (Grade 6, Karate, swimming, soccer), Hunter -9 (grade 4, swimming, soccer, biking), and Cheyann-7 (Grade 3, swimming t-ball/soccer, dancing).
Barry likes woodworking in his spare time (what’s that!!) and doing Pig roasts.

Barry has been a member of the Paisley and District Kinsmen Club since November 1997 where he has held many executive positions in the club and is an active participant in all fund raising activities and committees.

Barry is a laid back individual who is looking forward to working with all of District One!
