Membership Membership Membership !!

Welcome to 2012 fellow Kin and to what is roughly the mid-point of our year

With the holiday season behind us, it is time to trim off those extra pounds and get some exercise in and back to the goal that makes us all healthy.. MEMBERSHIP !

All of us are now well into our year and with that likely means your club has the gas pedal to the floor. Your speeds are increasing from fellowship to service to fundraising and now all are in full swing.

You can move much faster if your running on all cylinders rather than on some cylinders, so make sure your club runs like a finely tuned machine as well. The results will be greater horsepower and improved mileage, which everyone will benefit from.

Remember the key to success is a good, strong, well built motor. That motor is you club membership. The bigger and better it is the more our communities benefit and the less work each individual must do.

We must make membership our #1 priority moving forward and not just for the next month or so but at minimum for the next few years. The time began awhile ago to stop our downward spiral in membership yet we still seem to be content to say things like, "well we only went down 70 members this past year, that's not so bad." For the survival of our clubs, our Zones, our District, and yes our entire Association that thought process is no longer acceptable.

Who is going to make this happen ? Look in the mirror and you will find your answer.

• Does your club have a membership plan in place ?
• Are you tracking it?
• Do you review and evaluate it?

If every member made a simple goal, and yes this is simple, all it requires is a little effort, to bring out ONE member over the next year,imagine how your club would look... TWICE AS BIG !

So as we move forward keep this in mind fellow Kin, like the quote they use in real estate "Location, Location, Location", here in Kin we must constantly work on "Membership, Membership, Membership!"
