District Cystic Fibrosis / Service Newsletter, October 2011

Fellow Kin, (PLEASE SHARE WITH YOU CLUBS AND MEMBERS)

It has come to our attention that there was such a HUGE response to the Yogurt Containers that the Brigades are now full. But don't let that discourage you or your club from collecting them. We do have an account through District 1 for this Brigade, so if you missed the boat signing you club up on this one just bring them with you to FLC and we will send them in under the District 1 Label,
SECOND TO THAT.... if your club HAS NOT signed up, please go to the website www.terracycle.ca and have a look... there are other brigades available that your club could be a part of, and you can still donate your funds raised to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

THANK YOU DISTRICT 1
FOR HELPING US MAKE THIS A SUCCESS!

Yours In Kin

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR PLANS FOR 2011-2011
We are very excited about the various plans, ideas, fundraisers, and events that are happing all
across District 1.

We hope that by now most of the clubs have had the opportunity to check out www.terracycle.ca, and get started on not only a “Green” initiative, but also an easy way to
raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Research. Remember that your dollars sent directly to Cystic Fibrosis Canada though this initiative will count towards your Club’s donations for 2011-2012.

So check it out and start collecting your items today!
A lot of you have been inquiring about this year’s Cystic Fibrosis Trip – well Fellow Kin .. I hate to tell you this BUT you will just have to wait until FLC to get all the juicy details. We will tell you this; we have an awesome travel agent working on putting together a great trip at a fantastic price and we are looking at the time frame of late March –early April. So if you want to be the
first to know, plan on attending FLC!

START SAVING YOUR PENNIES TODAY!

ONE DIME AT A TIME – Keep collecting your dimes and remember, every dime counts. Have a bottle drive, find a location for your donation box; just keep the coins rolling in (and yes, we will also roll it for you).
