We have been fairly busy from the start of
our year and even before. The two of us were
in Prince Edward Island at the end of April for
the annual General Meeting. We learned a
lot and our national team bonded quite
nicely. We were also able to present our
plans for the upcoming year as well as our fund-raising
goal.
Upon our return it was time to get ready for the
first of two fund-raising projects. That of course
was the Labour Day football game between
Toronto and Hamilton. It was a lot of work but in
the end we realized an $8,300 profit. Also, it
appears the Tiger Cats would like to do it again
next year.
Our next project is the Cystic Fibrosis
trip to Cuba in February. At present there
are twenty people signed up for this trip.
Other than that we have been busy with Fall
Leadership Conference and club visitations.
There have been Cystic Fibrosis service nights
at three clubs so far.
We now have available 2 separate pins. One is
our district pin and the other is a national pin
The district pin marks 45 years of the KIN/
CCFF partnership and 90 years since kin was
founded and the national pin represents 50
years since CCFF was founded and 90 years
since Kin was founded. Both pins are five dollars
each and if they are not already will be available
through your Deputy Governor or Zone CF
rep.
Finally we are busy planning our Cystic Fibrosis/
Service gala in London at the District 1 KINnvention on the May long weekend. Stay tuned for more details.
We also would like to wish each and every
one of you and your families a Merry Christmas
and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
Yours in Kin
